I am the wife of a sexy firefighter, co-owner of a small automotive repair shop with said sexy firefighter, mother of three amazing teens, culinary student, aspiring Chef and Writer.
This is the blog is for fun, food, and fabulous, insights. My interest in food began early in my childhood, cooking with my Italian grandmother, and my parents. I love food of all kinds and didn’t really start gravitating towards cooking with a true passion, until I became a wife and mother and had to put healthy, and satisfying meals on the table for a family of 5 on a budget! You get creative pretty darn fast.
When I am cooking in my tiny, cuccina, I am listening to music, singing and dancing, and a little air guitar thrown in, because I can, anything from Drowning Pool, to Frank Sinatra.
I am a mess in the kitchen, mostly from hot flashes, and food spills. I refuse to measure, unless I am baking, where science plays a very important role in whether the dough will rise or fall short, or the batter will be the proper consistency. I have been known to channel some of my favorite Chefs, Julia Childs, The Galloping Gourmet, Giada De Laurentis, Bobby Flay, Gordon Ramsey, Ming Tsai, Guy Fieri, Ree Drummond, and Rick Bayless. I like to say my cooking style is eclectic, with a fusion of Italian, Mexican, and Asian.
